Senior Solutions Architect
Worked directly with the VP of Sales, VP of Operations, CFO, and CEO. Day to day work also included interactions and coordination with customers, sales, plan, build, and run groups to ensure highest levels of service for new and existing customers.
Worked with executive and senior management to productize offering, and created a formal launch roadmap. TTCM is the world’s largest education hiring Internet Company. TTCM currently has over one million candidates and twenty thousand schools signed up for the service, with over twenty five million page views per year.
Worked with TTCM’s management and staff to restructure and rebuild their line of business application to a best practices model, creating a situation in which SLA’s and OLA’s were being met with a high degree of certainty and predictability.
Recommended and interviewed development staff, and worked with executive management to design, budget, and execute a transition from a capital expense to a purely operational model.

Newmont Mining Corporation
Duties expanded to making critical path decisions on existing and future deployments for mission critical intranet applications. Enhanced performance and security by implementing best practice processes in their existing environment. Recommended changes in hiring practices to reduce over-staffing.
Contracted to assess the continued use of their current network and server solution. Worked with Compass IT management and staff to identify and pinpoint security, availability and reliability issues. Based on recommendations, client built out a new server farm solution. Was involved in the visioning, design, and implementation of their new solution. A key component of the solution was combining several older physical servers running disparate software into a virtualized solution leveraging VMWare and EMC VNX storage arrays. Trained client SME’s in virtualization.
Sanford Homes is national homebuilder, and has its headquarters in Denver. Contracted to spearhead a major mainframe to intranet integration project. Secured funding from the board, hired the development staff, and completed the project, under budget and on time. Based on performance, responsibilities then expanded to include security and operational oversight of the core infrastructure and involved interfacing with all of Sanford’s operations including sales, construction, and warranty support.
IDV Sports IDV
IDV was a startup venture designed to leverage online content to drive back end sales. Was brought onboard to complete their line of business internet site. Responsibilities included team management, infrastructure development, change control, and establishment of a customer facing 24/7/365 tier 1 help desk with an ACD back end. Created processes and controls that resulted in a 45 second ASA and 87% FCR.
Got a Job
Got a Job is a startup company designed to match potential employees with employers in high-turnover verticals (fast food, gas stations, etc.). Contracted to deliver oversight, troubleshoot, and remediate problematic development staffing issues, methodologies, and processes. Implemented industry standards and best practices in code development, re-architected/re-deployed the Linux server farm, and migrated in-house development and server farm teams to the latest releases development and change control software. Oversaw a team of 20 individuals, reported directly to CEO.
September 2008 to September 2010, IP Silver, Colorado
Co-Founder, Chief Information Officer
Startup focused on virtual server and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) offerings. Created, managed, and matured a partnership with Sun Microsystems to become the primary SME and implementers of Sun VDI services on Solaris Unix in the Denver metro area. P&L responsibility with a “buck stops here” mentality that trimmed day to day operational costs by 35% which allowed a reallocation of IT, freeing the company to invest in expanding business outside of its niche market.
September 2000 to June 2004, X2Delta Networks, Denver
Co-Founder of a startup delivering ISP and co-location services to SMB customers. Designed and implemented the network layout, established relationships with multiple internet PoP, power, and cooling providers.
Once the core infrastructure was completed and launched - visioned, designed, and supervised the build out of a high-reliability/availability server farm & co-location space, and administered for more than three years. Designed and implemented security and maintenance protocols, including software upgrades, virus protection, and backup across Unix, Linux, and Windows platforms.
Created and administered 24/7/365 EOC and help desk for level 1-3 support for deployment, availability, monitoring (Ipswitch, then Solarwinds), and issue resolution. Directly responsible for budget and day to day management of 15 individuals.
